(i) Faith in — বিশ্বাস — Have faith in God.

(iii) Faithful to — বিশ্বস্ত — The dog is faithful to its master.

254. False to — বিশ্বাসঘাতক — I can not be false (unfaithful) to my friend. 

(i) Fall down — পতিত হওয়া — The old sailor saw his companions fall down dead.

(ii) Fall out — ঝগড়া করা — The two brothers fall out over a piece of land. 

(iii) Fall upon — আক্রমণ করা — The wolf fell upon the goat.

(i) Familiar with — অন্তরঙ্গ — I am familiar (intimate) with him.

(ii) Familiar to — পরিচিত — His face is familiar (we known) to me.

(ii) Fix on — দৃষ্টি নিবদ্ধ করা — He fixed his eyes on me.

(iii) Fix to — সংযুক্ত করা — Fix this stamp to the envelop.

(iv) Fix up — নির্দিষ্ট করা — The date of the meeting has been fixed up.

(i) Fond of — পছন্দ করা — He is fond of sweets.

(ii) Fondness for — পছন্দ করা — He has great fondness for sweets.

270. Foreign to — সম্বন্ধহীন, অবান্তর — Rudeness is foreign to his nature. 

(i) Free (adj.) form (danger) — মুক্ত (বিপদ থেকে) — He is now free from danger.

(ii) Free of (tax) — মুক্ত (কোন দায় থেকে) — The goods arrived free of tax.

(iii) Free of (money) — অমিতব্যয়ী — He is free of his money (lavish).

(iv) Free (verb) from or of — মুক্ত করা — This medicine freed me from or of pain.

272. Full of; Filled with — পূর্ণ — The cup is full of (or, filled with) milk.

(i) Glance at (an object) — তাকানো — He just glanced (looked after an instant) at me and then went on with his work.

(ii) Glance over (a subject) — এক নজরে দেখা — Please glance over this letter.

274. Glory in — গর্ব করা — I am glory (take pride) in your success. 

(i) Good for (nothing) — যোগ্য — He is good for nothing. 

(ii) Good at (cricket) — দক্ষ — He is good at cricket. 

276. Grateful to, for — কৃতজ্ঞ — I am grateful to him for his help.

(i) Greedy of, after (riches) — লোভী — He is not greedy of or after riches.

(ii) Greed for (riches) — লোভ — He has no greed for riches.

278. Grieve at, for, over — দুঃখ প্রকাশ বা শোক প্রকাশ — I am grieved at or for about the loss. / Grieve for him; he has lost his son. / He grieved over his dead friend. 

(i) Guard from — রক্ষা করা — He guarded me from (or against) their attack.

(ii) Guard against — দূর করা — You must guard against such mistake in your composition. 

(iii) Guard over — পাহারা দেওয়া — He stood guard over the prisoner.

(i) Guess at — অনুমান করা — He guessed at the truth. (Also without at)

(ii) Guilty of — অপরাধ — He is guilty of theft.

(i) Hinder (a thing) from (verb) — বাধা দেওয়া — He was hindered from going. 

(ii) Hindrance to (noun) — বাধা — There is no hindrance to his going. 

291. Hint at — ইঙ্গিত দেওয়া — I hinted at the coming trouble. 

(i) Hope of or for — আশা — I have no hope (n) of or for success. / I hope (v) for success. 

(ii) Hopeful or hopeless of (আশাবাদী/ হতাশা) — I am hopeful (or, hopeless) of success.
