As students use Facebook nowadays, teachers make a common page for all the students to share updates. It helps students to keep in touch with their teachers and ask about the difficulties in the courses while sitting at home. It also promotes teamwork. As the Internet is an ocean of information, one can find information, research work. homework etc. required for one's projects. Students can have an access to all updated current affairs through the Internet on the school campus. at home, or at any other place. Going through the information on the Internet is definitely faster than reading an entire book on the subject. Another positive effect of Internet is distance education or online learning. People of all age groups can just start up their computers. connect to the Internet, get admitted, take virtual classes. learn. and give exams. However, internet may prove harmful for students. Students can be addicted, tired, forgetful, depressed, or aggressive because of excessive internet use. Besides, age-restricted websites may lead students to danger. Home environment is one of the methods to protect students from the bad sides of the internet. With these points, we find that the importance of Internet in education cannot be denied. So, every student should be given access to the Internet for deeper understanding and knowledge of a subject. Research made by the Pew Internet and American Life Project shows that at present students use the Internet as an essential study aid in their student life.
