Exclamatory to Assertive

Rule — 1

What + an/a + Adjective যুক্ত Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive করার নিয়ম :

(i) প্রথমে Exclamatory Sentence এর শেষ দিকে অবস্থিত Subject + Verb টি বসে।
(ii) a/an + very / great + Adjective + Noun Word বসে।
(iii) Extension (বাকী অংশ বসে)।
(iv) Full stop বসে।

Structure
Subject + Verb + an/a + Very / great + Adjective + Extension

উদাহরণ :

Exclamatory : What a nice girl she is!
Assertive : She is a very nice girl.

Exclamatory : What a fool you are!
Assertive : You are a great fool.

Exclamatory : What a big city Rajshahi is!
Assertive : Rajshahi is a very big city.

Exclamatory : What a beautiful bird it was!
Assertive : It was a very beautiful bird.

Exclamatory : What a beautiful garden it is!
Assertive : It is a very beautiful garden.

Exclamatory : What a fine bird it is!
Assertive : It is a very fine bird.

Rule — 2

How + Adjective Adjective যুক্ত Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive করার নিয়ম :

(i) প্রথমে Exclamatory Sentence এর শেষ দিকে অবস্থিত Subject + Verb টি বসে।
(ii) very / great বসে।
(iii) Extension (বাকী অংশ বসে)।
(iv) Full stop বসে।

Structure
Subject + Verb + Very / great + Extension.

উদাহরণ :

Exclamatory : How kind you are!
Assertive : You are very kind.

Exclamatory : How sweetly the cuckoo sings!
Assertive : The cuckoo sings very sweetly.

Exclamatory : How tall they are!
Assertive : They are very tall.

Assertive : He runs very quickly.

Exclamatory : How lazy you are!
Assertive : You are very lazy.

Exclamatory : How large the room is!
Assertive : The room is very large.

Exclamatory : How foolish he is!

Exclamatory : How beautiful the hospital is!
Assertive : The hospital is very beautiful.

Exclamatory : How nicely he works!
Assertive : He works very nice.

Rule — 3

Bravo / Hurrah যুক্ত Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive করার নিয়ম :

(i) Bravo বা Hurrah এর পরিবর্তে It is a matter of Joy বসে এবং তার পরে সবটুকু অপরিবর্তিত অবস্থায় বসে।

Structure
It is a matter of joy + that + Subject + Verb + extension.

উদাহরণ :

Exclamatory : Bravo! He is brilliant.
Assertive : It is a mater of joy that he is a brilliant student.

Exclamatory : Hurrah! We have won the game.
Assertive : It is a matter of joy that we have won the game.

Exclamatory : Hurrah! We have become victorious.
Assertive : We rejoice that we have become victorious.

আবার, Alas যুক্ত Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive করার নিয়ম :

(i) Alas থাকলে It is a matter of sorrow বসে এবং বাকিসব উপরোক্ত নিয়ম।

Structure
It is a matter of sorrow + that + Alas এর পর হতে বাকি সব কিছু অপরিবর্তিত বসে।

উদাহরণ :

Exclamatory : Alas! I am undone.
Assertive : It is a matter of sorrow that I am undone.

Exclamatory : Alas! My cow is dead.
Assertive : It is a matter of sorrow that my cow is dead.

Exclamatory : Alas! He has failed.
Assertive : It is a matter of sorrow that he has failed.

Exclamatory : Hurrah! We have won the cricket match.
Assertive : It is a matter of joy that we have won the cricket match.

Rule — 4

If / Had / Would that যুক্ত Exclamatory Sentence কে Assertive করার নিয়ম :

(i) If / Had / Would that এর পরিবর্তে We / I wish বসে এবং বাকি সব কিছু অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে।

Structure
We / I wish + If / Would that এর পর থেকে হুবহু সব বসে।

উদাহরণ :

Exclamatory : If I were a king!
Assertive : I wish I were a king.

Exclamatory : If I were your lover!
Assertive : I wish I were your lover.

Exclamatory : Would that we were there!
Assertive : We wish we were there.

Practice more :

Exclamatory : Had I the wings of a bird!
Assertive : I wish I had the wings of a bird.

[Had থাকলে I wish এর পর পুরো বাক্য হুবহু বসে]

Exclamatory : Had I the wings of a dove!
Assertive : I wish I had the wings of a dove.

Exclamatory : Had I a grand house!
Assertive : I wish I had a grand house.

Exclamatory : Would that I could be a child again!
Assertive : I wish I could be a child again.

Exclamatory : Had I been a king!
Assertive : I wish I had been a king.
