Main idea : Character is the greatest ornament of a man. It bears the testimony of a man's personality and humanity.
Amplification : Character is the greatest wealth of a human being. A man of character is respected in the society for his honesty, sincerity and decent behaviors and attitudes. Character ennobles a man. Man wears beautiful and costly dresses to look smart and handsome. Likewise, character flourishes a man as an ornament. Man needs money. property, education and health to lead life. But these things individually can't make a man great. Everything of a man becomes useless if he is characterless. Character is like a touchstone that enlightens a person. A characterless person gets enlightened if he comes to the touch of a man of character. A man of character is honest, sincere, helpful and liberal. He does not harm others; he helps others in their woe. He does not cheat others. He is not involved in any anti-social or unethical activities. He becomes immortal by means of his good character. He gets the love of others. Thus, character is the most important of all assets in life.

মূলভাব : চরিত্র মানুষের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ অলংকার। এটি একজন মানুষের ব্যক্তিত্ব ও মানবতার সাক্ষ্য বহন করে।
ভাব সম্প্রসারণ : চরিত্র মানবজাতির সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ সম্পদ। একজন চরিত্রবান ব্যক্তি তার সততা, আন্তরিকতা ও সুন্দর ব্যবহার ও মনোভাবের জন্য সমাজে শ্রদ্ধেয়। চরিত্র একজন মানুষকে মর্যাদাসম্পন্ন করে। প্রাণবন্ত ও সুন্দর দেখাতে মানুষ সুন্দর ও দামি পোশাক পরিধান করে। একইভাবে চরিত্র একজন মানুষকে অলংকারের মতো সজ্জিত করে। জীবন পরিচালনা করতে মানুষের অর্থ, সম্পদ, শিক্ষা ও স্বাস্থ্য প্রয়োজন। কিন্তু এসব জিনিস ব্যক্তিগতভাবে একজন মানুষকে মহান করতে পারে না। যদি সে চরিত্রহীন হয়, তাহলে একজন মানুষের সবকিছু অপ্রয়োজনীয় হয়। চরিত্র পরশপাথরের ন্যায় যা একজন ব্যক্তিকে আলোকিত করে। একজন চরিত্রবান লোকের সংস্পর্শে এলে, একজন চরিত্রহীন ব্যক্তিও আলোকিত হয়। একজন চরিত্রবান ব্যক্তি সৎ, আন্তরিক, সহায়ক ও উদার। তিনি অন্যদের ক্ষতি করেন না; তিনি অন্যদের দুঃখে তাদের সাহায্য করেন। তিনি অপরের সাথে প্রতারণা করেন না। তিনি কোনো সমাজবিরোধী বা অনৈতিক কার্যাবলির সাথে জড়িত নন। তার ভালো চরিত্রের মাধ্যমে তিনি অমর হয়ে থাকেন। তিনি অপরের ভালোবাসা প্রাপ্ত হন। সুতরাং জীবনে চরিত্র সকল সম্পদের মধ্যে সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
