Little Drops of Water
Julia Abigail Fletcher Carney
Little drops of water,
Little grains of sand,
Make the mighty ocean
And the pleasant land.
So the little moments.
Humble though they be,
Make the mighty ages
Of Eternity.
So the little crrors
Lead the soul away
From the paths of virtue
Far in sin to stray.
Little deeds of kindness.
Little words of love,
Help to make earth happy
Like the Heaven above.
ছোট ছোট বালুকণা
বিন্দু বিন্দু জল,
গড়ে তোলে মহাদেশ,
সাগর অতল।
মুহূর্তে নিমেষ কাল,
তুচ্ছ পরিমাণ,
গড়ে যুগ যুগান্তর-
অনন্ত মহান।
প্রত্যেক সামান্য ত্রুটি,
ক্ষুদ্র অপরাধ,
ক্রমে টানে পাপ পথে,
ঘটায় প্রমাদ।
প্রতি করুণার দান,
স্নেহপূর্ণ বাণী,
এই ধারায় স্বর্গ সুখ
নিত্য দেয় আনি।
The Theme : Little things are not to be neglected. They, in a body up
great things. Little drops of water make the vast ocean. Little particles of
sand make the beautiful land. Little deeds of kindness and little words of
love can make the earth as sweet as Eden of Heaven. And a sum total of
moments can make an unending period.
(ছোট ছোট বিষয় উপেক্ষা করা ঠিক নয়। ছোট ছোট বিষয় একত্রে বড় বড় বিষয়ের জন্ম দেয়।
ফোঁটা ফোঁটা জল মহাসাগর গড়ে তোলে। বিন্দু বিন্দু বালু কণা যথাক্রমে গড়ে তোলে
অপরূপ ভূমি। আর মহানুভূতিপূর্ণ ক্ষুদ্র ক্ষুদ্র কর্ম আর প্রীতিপূর্ণ নগণ্য
কথাবার্তা পৃথিবীকে স্বর্গ কাননের মত মধুর করে তুলতে পারে। আর ক্ষুদ্র ক্ষুদ্র
অনন্তকালের জন্ম দিতে পারে।)
