Future Indefinite Tense
সাধারণ ভবিষ্যত কাল
ভবিষ্যতে কোন কাজ সংঘটিত হবে এরূপ বুঝালে Verb এর Future Indefinite Tense হয়।
বাংলায় চেনার উপায় : বাংলা ক্রিয়াপদের শেষে ব, বে, বা, বেন এদের যে কোন একটি যোগ থাকে। যেমন— করিব, করব, করিবি, করবি, করিবে, করিবেন, করবেন, করিবা, করবা ইত্যাদি।
উদাহরণ—
আমরা খেলা করব।
We shall play.
আমি ঢাকা যাব।
I shall go to Dhaka.
সে ভাত খাবে।
He will eat rice.
ইংরেজি বাক্য চেনার উপায় : বাক্যে tomorrow, next + সময়বাচক শব্দ যেমন— next day, next week, next year, next month ইত্যাদি থাকলে বাক্যটি Future Indefinite Tense হয়। Example—
আমি আগামীকাল কাজটি করব।
I shall do the work tomorrow.
সে পরের মাসে ঢাকা যাব।
He will go to Dhaka next month.
আমি এ বছর পরীক্ষা দিব।
I shall appear at the examination this year.
Note :
সাধারণত First Person (যেমন— I, we) এর সাথে shall এবং 2nd Person (যেমন—you, your, they) এবং 3rd Person (যেমন— he, she, Rahim, Rumana ইত্যাদি) এর সাথে will বসবে।
✔Advanced Learning 01 : বর্তমানে shall এর ব্যবহার তেমন হয় না। তাই I এবং We এর সাথে shall না থাকলে will ব্যবহার করা যাবে।
Future Indefinite Tense এর গঠন প্রণালী :
Affirmative :
Subject + shall / will + মূল Verb এর Present Form + Extension
যেমন—
আমি আমার বাড়ির কাজ করব।
I shall do my home work.
সে স্কুলে যাইবে।
He will go to school.
তাহারা আমাদের সাথে মিলবে।
They will join with us.
আমরা খেলা করব।
We shall play.
Negative :
Subject + shall / will + not + মূল Verb এর Present Form + Extension
যেমন—
আমি আমার বাড়ির কাজ করব না।
I shall not do my home work.
সে স্কুলে যাইবে না।
He will not go to school.
তাহারা আমাদের সাথে মিলবে না।
They will not join with us.
আমরা খেলা করব না।
We shall not play.
Interrogative :
Shall / Will + Subject + মূল Verb এর Present Form + Extension + Inetrrogative sign (?)
যেমন—
আমি কি আমার বাড়ির কাজ করব?
Shall I do my home work?
সে কি স্কুলে যাইবে?
Will he go to school?
তাহারা কি আমাদের সাথে মিলবে?
Will they join with us?
আমরা কি খেলা করব?
Shall we play?
Negative — Interrogative :
Structure—1 : Shall / Will + Subject + not + মূল Verb এর Present Form + Extension + Inetrrogative sign (?)
Or,
Structure—2 : Shan't / Won't + Subject + মূল Verb এর Present Form + Extension + Inetrrogative sign (?)
যেমন—
আমি কি আমার বাড়ির কাজ করব না?
Shall I not do my home work?
Or, Shan't I do my home work?
সে কি স্কুলে যাইবে না?
Will he not go to school?
Or, Won't he go to school?
তাহারা কি আমাদের সাথে মিলবে না?
Will they not join with us?
Or, Won't they join with s?
আমরা কি খেলা করব না?
Shall we not play?
Or, Shan't we play?
Future Indefinite Tense এর ব্যবহার
(১) ভবিষ্যতে ঘটবে এরূপ ঘটনা প্রকাশ করতে Future Indefinite Tense ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন—
I shall go to school day after tomorrow.
Rahim will not come this evening.
(২) ভবিষ্যতে চিরাচরিত সংঘটিত হবে, এইরূপ বুঝাইলে Future Indefinite Tense ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন—
The sun will rise tomorrow morning.
The winter will come again.
Birds will build nests.
Spring will come again.
(৩) কখনও কখনও going to; Future Indefinite Tense এর অর্থ প্রকাশে ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন—
It is going to rain tomorrow.
I am going to post a letter tomorrow.
Grandfather is going to tell us a story.
I am going to spend my summer vacation at my village.
(৪) বক্তার ভবিষ্যৎ সম্পর্কিত মতামত (Opinion), ধারণা ও অনুমান (Opinion, Assumptions) প্রকাশ করতে : এ সমস্ত ক্ষেত্রে নিম্নলিখিত verb গুলো ব্যবহার হতে পারে— assume, be afraid, be / feel, sure, believe, daresay, doubt, expect, hope, know, suppose, think, wonder, perhaps, possibly, probably ইত্যাদি adverb ও ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে। যেমন—
He will come back.
Or, I am sure he will come back.
(I suppose) they will sell the house.
(৫) Auxiliary verbs, verbs of the sense, of emotion, thinking, possessing যে শব্দ গুলোর সাধারণত Continuous Tense এ ব্যবহৃত হয় না, সেগুলো প্রকাশ করতে Future Indefinite Tense ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন—
He will be here at six.
He will see into the matter.
(৬) ভবিষ্যতের পরিকল্পনার আনুষ্ঠানিক ঘোষণা এবং আবহাওয়া পূর্বাভাষ খবরের কাগজ এবং সংবাদ প্রচারের মাধ্যমে (Newspapers and broad casts) প্রকাশ করতে Future Indefinite Tense ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন—
The president will open the bank tomorrow.
The fog will hold tomorrow.
(৭) কোন কিছু নিয়মিত বা অভ্যাসগত নয় বরং মাঝে মাঝে ঘটে থাকে এরূপ বুঝাতে Future Indefinite Tense ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন—
At time he will read for an hour.
(৮) Conditional Sentence এর Subordinate Clause টি if + Present Indefinite Tense ব্যবহৃত হলে Principal Clause টি Future Indefinite Tense হয়। যেমন—
If he comes, I shall go.
তবে কখনও কখনও, Subordinate Clause টি Present Indefinite Tense এর হলেও Principal Clause টি Present Indefinite Tense এ হয়। যেমন—
If you heat ice, it turns to water.
Future Indefinite Tense এর কিছু উদাহরণ
আমি কাল তোমার সাথে দেখা করব।
I shall meet you tomorrow.
আমরা এখানে তোমার জন্য অপেক্ষা করব।
We shall wait here for you.
তুমি পরীক্ষায় ভাল করবে।
You will do well in the examination.
সে একটি কলম কিনবে।
He will buy a pen.
সে আজ স্কুলে আসবে না।
He will not (won't) attend school today.
সে তোমাকে চিনবে না।
He will not (won't) know you.
সে কি পুরস্কার পাবে?
Will he get a reward?
তুমি কি আমার সাথে যাবে?
Will you go with me?
