STEPMOTHER GETS LIFE FOR KILLING DAUGHTER
Local Correspondent, LALMONIRHAT, August 9 : A court in Lalmonirhat district on Thursday sentenced a stepmother for killing her daugher in 2009.
Acting Judge of District and Session Judge Court Siddiqual Arefin Chowdhury pronounced the verdict in the noon after examining all evidence and witnesses.
The covicted in indentified as Jannatual Lucky 25, wife of Omar Gony of Ufarmara village of Patgram upazila in the district.
According to the prosecution, Lucky slaughtered her stepdaughter Jannatul Fardousi 9, while she was sleeping along in his room at the night on July 22 in 2009.
After the killing, father of the deceased Omar Gony filed a murder case accusing his second wife Lucky with Patgram police station in the following day.
The convicted Lucky confessed that she killed Ferdousi because she didn’t like her.
