HSC RESULT PUBLISHED
Abdur Razzak, Staff Correspondent, DHAKA, June 21 : The results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination under eight education boards and Alim, Fazil and Kamil examination under Madrasa Education Board and HSC-Business Management under Technical Education Board was published yesterday.
Some 7.36 lakh students appeared in the examinations out of which 515000 came out successful with flying colours. The average percentage of passing is 70 percent which is 4.0 percent higher than the previous year. A total of 35000 students secured GPA-5 in all the boards.
The percentage of successful students in Dhaka 75 percent, Chittagong 65 percent, Rajshahi Board is 70 percent, Comilla Board 72 percent, Jessore Board 68 percent, Sylhet Board 71 percent, Barisal Board 69 percent and Dinajpur Board 62 percent.
Of all the colleges in all education boards, RAJUK Uttara Model College, Rangpur Cadet College, Motijheel Ideal School and College. Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, Jessore Cantonment College showed the best performances in the exams.

‘The results of other parts of the country are not up to the satisfactory level due to the shortage of teachers, lack of teaching materials, poverty and awareness among the people’, the teachers as well as the guardians opined.
