Main idea : Unity brings success; division brings downfall. Thus, we have to maintain unity among us.

Amplification : Man is a social being. He has to live in society with others in peace and amity. He can't live according to his whims and sweet will. He has to consider the interest, of others. He shouldn't be self-centred and selfish. He can't live alone. He has to live in a body. He has to make friendship in the society. If he doesn't consider the interest of others, he will be isolated and lonely. Nobody will help him in his need. He will fail in every step. So. he has to form unity in the society. If all are united, no outsiders will be able to harm them. They will be able to face problems in a body. Then success will befall them easily. The nation that has become successful in life is united. Japan has reached the apex of prosperity as the Japanese are united. The united persons are just the sticks of bundle that are hard to break. Sticking together is a potential source of strength. Thus, we have to maintain unity in our life to enjoy happiness and prosperity.

মূলভাব : একতা সাফল্য আনে; বিভেদ পতন আনে। এভাবে আমাদের মধ্যে একতা বজায় রাখতে হবে।

ভাবসম্প্রসারণ : মানুষ সামাজিক জীব। তাকে অন্যদের সাথে শাস্তি ও মিত্রতার সঙ্গে সমাজে বাস করতে হয়। সে তার খেয়াল ও অভিরুচি অনুযায়ী বাস করতে পারে না। তাকে অন্যদের স্বার্থকে বিবেচনা করতে হয়। তাকে আত্মকেন্দ্রিক ও স্বার্থপর হওয়া উচিত নয়। সে একা বাস করতে পারে না। তাকে সকলের সাথে একত্র হয়ে বাস করতে হয়। তাকে সমাজে বন্ধুত্ব করতে হয়। সে যদি অন্যদের স্বার্থকে বিবেচনা না করে, তাহলে সে বিচ্ছিন্ন ও একাকী হয়ে যাবে। তার প্রয়োজনে কেউ তাকে সাহায্য করবে না। সে প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপে ব্যর্থ হবে। তাই তাকে সমাজে একতা সৃষ্টি করতে হবে। যদি সবাই একতাবদ্ধ হয়, তাহলে নলবহির্ভূত কেউ তাদের ক্ষতি করতে সমর্থ হবে না। তারা সকলে একত্র হয়ে সমস্যা মোকাবিলা করতে সমর্থ হবে। তখন অতিসহজেই তাদের সাফল্য আসবে। যে জাতি জীবনে সফল হয়েছে তারা একতাবদ্ধ। জাপানিদের একতাবদ্ধতার কারণে জাপান উন্নতির চরম শীর্ষে আরোহণ করেছে। একতাবদ্ধ ব্যক্তিরা ঠিক আঁটিবাধা লাঠির মতো যা ভাড়া খুব কঠিন। পারস্পরিকভাবে অনুগত ও বিশ্বস্ত থাকা শক্তির একটি সম্ভাব্য উৎস। সুতরাং আমাদের জীবনে সুখ ও সমৃদ্ধি উপভোগ করতে হলে আমাদের একতা বজায় রাখতে হবে।
