Dear Laila,
The annual sports day of our school/college came off yesterday. It was a very
pleasant event. The function was held in our school/college playground. The
school/college playground was nicely decorated the day before. State Minister
of Sports was the chief guest. The sports began at 8 am. after the arrival of
the chief guest. Every event started with a gun-fire. I took part in three
events and won one first and two-second prizes. I took part in jumps and
races. I got the first prize in 100-meter race and the second in 400-meter
race and in long jump. The other events were high jump hop steps, javelin,
kabaddi, etc. Last of all, began the sack race and the tug of war. Both the
games were very funny.
At the end of the function, the chief guest distributed the prizes among the
winners. We spent a very jolly day. Really it was a very happy event for me.
