Write down the theme of the following poem (Not more than 50 words)
Above a World
John Alden Carpenter (1876 – 1951)
For days and days I’ve climbed a tree,
A dappled yellow tree,
And gazed abroad at many things
I’ve always wished to see.
I see the green and gentle fields
All bounded in with hedge,
And shining river swimming through.
The rushes on his edge.
And little sheep who play all day,
I watch them as they ran,
While far away the roofs of town
Are shining in the sun.
I think it’s very nice to sit
So high and look so far
How very large the world can be!
How many things there are!
দিনের পর দিন আমি চড়েছি গাছে
একটি হলুদ বর্ণের ছোপযুক্ত গাছে
এবং স্থির পলকে সর্বত্র দেখেছি অনেক কিছু
যা দেখার ইচ্ছা পোষণ করেছি সব সময়েই।
আমি দেখি শান্ত শ্যামল ক্ষেত
যা গুল্মের বেড়ায় ঘেরা,
আর উজ্জ্বল স্রোতস্বিনী চলেছে বয়ে
প্রান্তসীমা দুর্বা ঘেঁষে
এবং মেষশাবক খেলে বেড়ায় সারাদিন
আমি চেয়ে দেখি তার চপল গতি
যখন অনেক দূরে শহরের টিনের ছাদগুলো
চক চক করে রোদে
আমার কাছে ভালো লাগে বসে থাকতে
অত উঁচুতে দূরে দৃষ্টি ছড়িয়ে
কত বিশাল হতে পারে এ ধরণী!
কত না জিনিস থাকতে পারে তাতে!
The Theme : The poem has a simple note of pleasure. The speaker climbs a tree many times as he likes to observe the natural beauty. He expresses his enjoyment of many natural aspects and activities. He means to say that if you climb high you can see many things that you never enjoy before. Again the poem ends with a note of surprise that the world is enormous and full of innumerable things. So, I think the theme of the poem can be the magnitude of the world which has a sea of knowledge. If you can rise high of knowledge, you can know them.
(কবিতাটি আনন্দের এক অন্য প্রকাশ। বক্তা অনেকবার একটি গাছে চড়েন কারণ তিনি নিচের প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য দেখতে ভালোবাসেন। তিনি অনেক প্রাকৃতিক বৈশিষ্ট্য ও কর্মকাণ্ডের মাধ্যমে তার আনন্দ প্রকাশ করেন। তিনি বলতে চান যে যদি তুমি উপরে ওঠো তাহলে তুমি অনেক কিছু দেখতে পাবে যা তুমি আগে কখনো উপভোগ করোনি। আবার কবিতাটি একটি বিস্ময়ের অভিব্যক্তি দিয়ে শেষ হয়েছে যে, পৃথিবীটা বিশাল এবং অসংখ্য জিনিসে ভরা। তাই, আমি মনে করি কবিতার বিষয়বস্তু হতে পারে পৃথিবীর বিশালতা যাতে আছে এক জ্ঞানের সমুদ্র। তুমি যদি জ্ঞানের উচ্চে আরোহন করতে পার তাহলে তুমি সেগুলো জানতে পারবে।)
