Dear Iqbal,
I received your letter yesterday. You wanted to know about our country. Now, I am giving you a short description of it.

The land area of Bangladesh is 1,47,570 square km. Bangladesh is a small but populous country. About 17 crore people live here. Here about 1115 people live per square kilometre. About 80 percent of the people live in the villages. Most of the people of our country are Muslims. Besides, there are Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and Tribes here. The hospitality of our people is world-famous. Here the people entertain their guests heartily. Most of the people of our country wear lungi and shirts. The people observe various festivals gorgeously like Pahela Boishakh, Nabanna Utsab, etc. Bangladesh is known as a riverine country. The Padma, the Meghna, the Jamuna, the Karnaphuli, etc. are the major rivers. Rice is our staple food. Besides, Bangladesh is known as the darling child of nature. It is a country of scenic beauty. The Sundarbans, the forests of hilly districts the tea gardens of Sylhet and Cox’s Bazar sea beach are the important tourist spots of our country.

No more today. Write about your country. Wish you all the best.
Yours sincerely,
Kamal
