My Favourite Singer
Our national poet, Kazi Nazrul Islam is my favourite singer. He is not only a singer but also a composer of songs. He composed and sung thousands of songs which are known as Nazrul Geeti. His songs have a perennial and universal appeal. He sang his song in a majestic tone. The melody of his songs enters into our hearts. This is why Nazrul is my favourite singer. He has sung patriotic songs, Islami gazals, romantic love songs, humanity's songs etc. 'O Mon Romjaner Oi Rojar Seshe' and 'Amaye Nohego Bhalobasho Tumi' are two of his famous songs. I like his songs very much. His songs have the greatest appeal to me. They inspire me with hope and courage. Nazrul is no longer in us but his songs inspire us for all times.
