A Television Set
A television set is one of the wonders of modern science. It is based on the science of photography. Though a television set is different from an ordinary wireless receiving set, yet it has been successful in combining both the functions of hearing and seeing on the screen in one set. It carries our voice along with our photographic pictures to the farthest corners of the world. It telecasts news, songs, dance, talk, play, dramas etc. among with photographic picture of the performers. The idea of television first came in the mind of Paul Nipkow, a German scientist. Television is the most up-to-date means of communicating thoughts and ideas. The television entertains as well as instructs. In modern society, television is the best source of entertainment. A man just by sitting before the television set can enjoy his favourite programs and refresh himself.
