Mango
↬ The King of Fruits
The mango is called the king of fruits. Bangladesh is rich with a variety of fruits. The mango occupies the first position. There are many varieties of mangoes. They are Fazli, Gopalbhog, Mohanbhog, Langra etc. They are famous for sweetness, flavour, and taste. The mangoes of Rajshahi, Dinajpur, and Bogra are famous for their exceptional sweetness. At the end of January or early in February, the mango trees put forth blossoms. Small yellowish blossoms appear on every twig. They develop into fruits. Gradually they grow in size till they ripen in summer. Both green and ripe mangoes are rich in vitamins. Various kinds of tonic, jams and jellies are made from the juice of mangoes. Seasoned pickle is also made from mangoes. I like the mango very much.
