My Daily Routine

I am a student. So I am to live my life according to a routine. Study is my main occupation. I make my lessons at home and attend to my class tasks at school. In my class, I sit on the first bench and listen to what my teacher said. In the afternoon I go to the playground and play with my friends. I return home before sunset. I never stay in the playground after dusk. Then I have a wash and go to my reading room. I make my lessons till 10 p.m. Then I have my supper with my parents, brother, and sister. I never keep. Except for holidays, I pass my days in preparing my lessons, attending classes and taking part in games.

My First Day At School

My first day at school is a very important event in my life. I was very happy and excited as I was going to be a student. I was thinking about the school, the teachers, the other students, and everything. My father took me to school. There were many people there but none of them looked friendly. So I felt bored. My father took me to the headmaster who asked me my name, to say some letters. I could answer them all. The headmaster was pleased. He put his hand on my shoulder and praised me a lot. Then he made me acquainted with a teacher who took me to the class. I bade goodbye to my father and went with Mrs Amin. Mrs Amin took me to her class. She welcomed me and gave me a seat in the classroom. I shall never forget such a happy day.

My Grandfather

The name of my grandfather is Abdul Rahman. He was born more than a hundred years ago. He had a lot of lands. Like most rich farmers, he employed two or three labourers on his land in order to cultivate it properly. He and his labourers worked hard together throughout the year. They planted different crops and pulled out all the weeds. Then, when it was time for the harvest, there was more work. So during that season, he employed more labourers. They cut and threshed all the crops and washed the jute in the river. My grandfather is was one of the best farmers in his district. His fields were very fertile because he knows how many times to plough them. He also dug wells and canals in order to irrigate his fields throughout the year. So his crops were also excellent. My grandfather is believed that is someone wants a good harvest, he must work very hard, sow good seeds and water the young plants carefully. It is clear that my grandfather is very conscious and sincere in his farming. I loved my grandfather very much.

My Pen Friend

We can make friend with boys and girls from other countries through letters. We can collect the addresses of the interested pen-friend from newspapers and pen-pal clubs. We write to the selected persons with our names, addresses, and hobbies. Then the interested persons would respond to our letters. Thus they would be friends. My pen friend is John Howard. He is 14 years old. He lives in California, USA. He is a student of class 7. He has one younger sister. He sent me his photograph. His main hobby is pen friendship. He is also interested in stamp collection. Pen friendship is a very good hobby. It has many benefits. Pen friends can know many things about each other’s country. They can improve their skill in writing English. Moreover, they can exchange things of their choice. So, pen-friendship is a very good pastime.

My Reading Room

My reading room is at the corner of our main building. It is ten feet long and seven feet wide. It faces the south. It has one door and four windows. Sunlight and fresh air enter into my reading room. There are a chair, a table and a nice bookshelf in the room. I keep my books on the shelf. There are table clock, a desk-diary and a pen-stand on my table. There is also a table lamp on my table. I follow my daily routine. The wall of my reading room is well pained. There are some paintings in my reading room. I keep my reading room neat and clean. I feel comfortable in it. I like my reading room very much.

I have a separate reading room. It is located to the south facing the drawing room. It looks nice. It has one door and two windows. Thus, plenty of light and air can enter into the room. It is an well-furnished room. There are a table, a chair and a bookself nicely arranged and some sceneries on the wall. There is also a world map on the wall. My reading room is also a library for me because I have kept a lot of books of famous writers there. Besides my reading table, there is a computer with a compact desk and a moving chair. I have internet connection in my computer. I have also IPS & UPS system connected on my computer. So, my practice in the computer will not be hampered if there is no electricity. I spent most of the time in my reading room. I feel comfortable and easy to prepare my lesson here. I can also maintain my daily rountine and work my way up. There is a flower garden in front of my reading room which adds to its beauty and charms. I have plant so many different flowers in it. I past my leisure hours in the garden. I am really happy with my reading room. I always keep it neat and clean.
