There are primarily two types of rainwater harvesting methods. The first one is surface runoff harvesting. In this method, we can collect the surface runoff water by making a path that directs to storage space.

The second method is rooftop rainwater harvesting. Here, the roof of a house or building works as a rainwater collection unit. This is a very efficient way to harvest rainwater.

Rainwater harvesting maintains the ecological balance. Surface water is not enough to meet the demands of the people. So we can get additional help from rainwater. Rainwater harvesting holds more importance than one can think.

Water scarcity is going to be a major problem in the coming year. It is a very important tool to counter the situation of water scarcity for our future generation. With its easy instalment process and with proper maintenance we can save water and utilize it efficiently in our daily needs.
