My Heart Leaps Up

My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky;
So was it when my life began;
So is it now 1 am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The child is father of the Man;
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.
আমার প্রাণ নেচে ওঠে যখন আমি দেখি
রংধনু আকাশে;
এটি তেমনই ছিল যখন আমার জীবনের শুরু;
এটি তেমনই আছে যখন আমি পরিপূর্ণ মানুষ;
এটি তেমনই থাকুক যখন বৃদ্ধ হব আমি,
অথবা আমায় মরতে দিও!
ঘুমিয়ে আছে শিশুর পিতা সব শিশুরই অন্তরে;
আর তাই আমার প্রার্থনা আমার দিনগুলো
জুড়ে যেন থাকে নৈসর্গিক ভক্তি।
The Theme : The poem “My heart leaps up” by William Wordsworth puts emphasis on a close relationship with nature. Life is not worth living if one does not have an intimate relationship with nature. In fact, it is very important to have an intimate relationship with nature everyday of one’s life, whether one is a child or a man.
