Superlative to Comparative
Rule — 1
Superlative Degree থেকে Comparative Degree — তে রূপান্তর করার নিয়মাবলী :
(i) Superlative এর Subject + Verb বসে।
(ii) The উঠে যাবে।
(iii) Superlative এর Comparative form বসে + Than any other বসে।
(iv) Sentence এর বাকি অংশ বসে।
Structure
Subject + Verb + Superlative degree এর Comparative form + than any other +
Sentence এর বাকি অংশ।
উদাহরণ :
Superlative : He is the oldest man in the village.
Comparative : He is older than any other man in the village.
Superlative : Chattogram is the biggest port in Bangladesh.
Comparative : Chattogram is bigger than any other port in Bangladesh.
Superlative : Maradona is the best footballer we have ever seen.
Comparative : Maradona is better than any other footballer we have ever seen.
Superlative : She is the tallest girl in the class.
Comparative : She is taller than any other girl in the class.
Note
of all থাকলে of all এর জায়গায় than all other বা than any other ব্যবহার করা যায় এবং of any থাকলে than any other ব্যবহার করতে হয়।যেমন:
Superlative : Mr. Kedar is the noblest of all men.
Comparative : Mr. Kedar is nobler then all other men.
or, Comparative : Mr. Kedar is nobler than any other man.
Superlative : Akbar was the greatest of all kings in India.
Comparative : Akbar was greater than all other kings in India.

Superlative : He is the best of all students.
Comparative : He is better than all other students.
Superlative : The cow is the most useful of all domestic animals.
Comparative : The cow is more useful than any other domestic animal.
Superlative : Tonima is the best housewife in this locality.
Comparative : Tonima is better than any other housewife in this locality.
Superlative : Iron is the most useful metal.
Comparative : Iron is more useful than any other metal.
Superlative : He is the oldest man in this family.
Comparative : He is older than any other man in this family.
Rule — 2
One of the যুক্ত Superlative Degree কে Comparative Degree তে রূপান্তর :
(i) Superlative Degree এর Subject বসে।
(ii) Verb বসে। (One of the উঠে যাবে)
(iii) Comparative form বসে
(iv) Than most / many other + Sentence এর বাকি অংশ বসবে।
Structure
Subject + Verb + Superlative degree এর Comparative form + than most
other / many other + প্রদত্ত Sentence এর বাকি অংশ।
উদাহরণ :
Superlative : Fahim is one of the tallest boys in the class.
Comparative : Fahim is taller than most other boys in the class.
Superlative : Saudi Arabia is one of the hottest countries in the world.
Comparative : Saudi Arabia is hotter than most other countries in the world.
Superlative : Prity is one of the prettiest girls in the class.
Comparative : Prity is prettier than most other girls in the class.
