My First Day at School

When I was five, my father took me to a school quite far away from our home. There I followed my father to a room where I saw a big bald-headed man. He looked pleased to see my father but I got frightened when the bald-headed man looked at me. I felt very shy also. Then the unknown man asked us to sit down. We sat down. In a few moments, I remembered that he was the Headteacher of my first and new school. Then he asked me some simple questions and I could answer them all well. The Headteacher became very pleased with me. Then I found that he was actually a very nice man. He looked grave outside but he was really a very kind and cooperative person. Next,, he called the class teacher of class one and asked her to admit me into class one. My class teacher was also a very nice and friendly lady. Suddenly the bell for the first period rang and I entered the first class of my school life. The class teacher took me to class one. All the students in the class welcomed me. I did not know anybody there. This time I also felt a bit nervous. But soon I felt easy and made friends with a few students. When our class teacher called out my name I became so excited that I could not understand what I should do. She stared at me for a while and asked me my name and my father’s name. I answered and after that, she introduced me to the whole class. The first period passed through introduction and some fun. Suddenly the bell rang and the period was over. I at once joined my classmates and started shouting ad enjoying. It was my first day at school and it was a very interesting day in my life. Till now I cannot forget this day of my childhood.
