There was a man lying unconscious on the street. Nobody went near him in fear of being infected by the COVID-19 disease. Shovon, a student of class IX, saw the whole thing through his bedroom window. He couldn’t ignore it. He
wanted to help the man. So, he called 999 and sought help from the police. The police were on the way. In the meantime, he wore a mask and hand gloves and went to the man to check on him. People forbade Shovon to go close to the man, but he paid no heed to them. Then the police came with an ambulance and took the man to the hospital. Shovon went with them. There, a doctor examined the man and told Shovon that the condition of the man was very serious. The man had a minor stroke. If Shovon hadn’t called the emergency in time, the man might have died. However, after due treatment, the man regained his sense at last. Now, Shovon inquired of his address. The man gave Shovon a phone number which belonged to the man's son. Shovon called the son and told him everything. The son rushed to the hospital at once. He thanked Shovon again and again. He also praised Shovon’s courage for helping his father despite the risk of being infected with COVID-19. The man too prayed for Shovon’s well-being. Then Shovon returned home with a clear conscience and a contented mind.
